Performs varied paralegal work involving a moderate level of difficulty to assist University Counsel, other attorneys, and/or higher-level paralegals with routine aspects of legal and factual research, project management, data compilation and analysis, drafting legal documents and affidavits, and under supervision, conveying routine legal information to stakeholders.
The position will oversee and manage the multitude of contracts requiring review or drafting by the OUC originating from the health sciences center. This includes, but is not limited to: reviewing requests to review or draft contracts; assigning contract reviews to attorneys in the office; monitoring the completion of contracts; ongoing communication with attorneys and clients; processing contracts via the contract management system and tracking outstanding requests; reviewing final drafts for drafting errors; collecting and organizing data regarding the number of reviews and status of outstanding request; and presenting status reports to office leadership.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
