High School Diploma or GED



Other information:
Completion of one year relevant work experience in healthcare, such as registrar, business office, medical group office experience, insurance verification, etc.. One to two years customer service experience in any environment. Must be able to work cooperatively with the public as well as all levels of staff and management within the organization. Requires exceptional organizational and prioritization skills. Typing and ten key required. Bilingual preferred



Will directly be responsible for the successful completion for all Scheduled and Nonscheduled patient accounts: pre-registration, insurance eligibility, benefits verification, payer plan code assignment, referral coordination and financial clearance. Responsible for independently resolving any insurance verification and financial clearance issue prior to and after an appointment; this involves contacting patients and insurance/third party payers to resolve eligibility and benefits issues and to initiate insurance appeals if necessary. Responsible for communicating with practice managers, clinicians, staff and patients to ensure that visits are appropriately registered, and meet all insurance billing requirements. Expected to notify the appropriate practice manager when patient accounts are at financial risk and to recommend options that will sustain the Hospital while ensuring financial reimbursement
