*Project Management Professional certification or equivalent certification, with strong background in project method best practices

*Minimum 10 years project management experience including management of large complex projects with multi-million dollar budgets and large teams of resources

*Minimum 5 years leadership experience, with strong management organizational skills

*Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to work with all levels of leadership, management and staff, both business and technical, as well as customers and vendors.

*Excellent verbal and written communications skills complemented by solid business and technical background, and keen interest in business operations, process improvement, and change impact

*Demonstrated experience in working with diverse business groups and IT Leadership

*Demonstrated experience in financial management principles as they relate to project management and delivery of a business case

*Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources

*Expert problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions

*Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall as well as a solid understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) concepts

*Experience in business process management best practices

  

Summary:
This leadership position is responsible for the overall management and effective performance of the Business Process and Project Management Office with accountability to deliver consistent, high quality project, program, portfolio, and business process management services that enable and support the successful execution of our organizational strategy and priorities

 

Responsibilities:
*Lead, direct, and be accountable for the overall performance of the organizations Business Process and Project Management Office in the delivery of complex projects directly affecting the organizations strategy to meet technology and business requirements on-time and within budget

*Facilitate the organizations annual strategic planning process and work with all leaders to ensure alignment and execution of strategic priorities

*Establish and facilitate effective project management governance and oversight

*Build, maintain, and execute business process and project management roadmaps, which are aligned with organizational strategies, priorities, and goals

*Develop and manage comprehensive project portfolio, budgets, resource allocations, and costs with overall accountability for portfolio performance (key performance indicators and metrics)

*Prepare and deliver regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and project sponsors are adequately apprised of project statuses, successes, risks and issues

*Establish professional standards for business process and project management - using industry innovations, best practices, standards, methodologies, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

*Lead strategic and tactical business process architecture and design, with specific focus on the proactive identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that generate value for the organization (capitalize on opportunities to improve productivity, quality, time-to-market, solutions quality, and cost effectiveness)

*Cultivate professional relationships with key organizational leaders, based on trust and respect

*Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes

*Manage business process and project management staff, establish performance expectations and standards, serve as a role-model and provide leadership direction to PMs throughout project lifecycle

*Identify and prioritize organizational opportunities based on data

*Apply risk management assessment in project planning / ongoing execution and resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects

*Other duties as assigned
