The Indigenous Design and Planning Institute (iD+Pi) activities are founded on learning education and Indigenous design and planning practice. It does this by engaging faculty, staff, students, professionals and community leaders in culturally appropriate community development. The Program Manager position serves as a point of contact for the iD+Pi and oversees an interdisciplinary effort that responds to the University and greater community. Under indirect supervision, the Program Manager oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted number of projects and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership including: development and implementation of scopes of work contained in MOUs, contracts and grants; hiring, supervisory, and personnel functions; establishing budgets in a manner that builds suitable capacity for executing all projects; providing program planning, budgeting and grants administration; developing reporting procedures in compliance with UNM policies and clients; facilitating and coordinating conferences, community meetings and networking events; oversight of project activities and, on occasion, participation in project activities; overseeing the management and storing of confidential records; developing statistical and narrative program reports; overseeing advertising and public promotion.

This is a benefits eligible position. The University of New Mexico provides a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
