Position Summary
This position is part of the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) Techs Systems Group, responsible for the management and maintenance of campus wide servers and services for over 2000 users. The primary responsibility of this position will be the administration, maintenance, documentation, planning, and management of the Health Sciences Center (HSC) campus email system. This includes interfacing with the end user community to resolve email server and database related issues as well as server installation and maintenance, providing technical leadership for various technology related projects, supporting HSC productivity tools, and training systems staff to provide appropriate level of backup to assure quality customer service.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

OR

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 6 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience in/with:
  • Administration of an enterprise email system.
  • Administering Linux Enterprise servers and/or Microsoft Windows servers.
  • Evaluating needs, preparing server specifications, configuring and installing server operating systems and applications.
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and optimizing server hardware and software.
  • Customer service skills and ability to communicate with end users.
