Job: Medical Coding in Hospital Setting

This is a temp-to-hire position working for one of Albuquerque's largest hospitals. In this position you will be responsible for coding and abstracting in- and out-patient medical records; process claim submissions and identify and correct discrepancies in reports.

EDUCATION: Completion of ICD-9 and CPT coding classes; completion of medical terminolgy course; high school diploma or GED.

SKILLS: Advanced computer and word processing skills; knowledge of encoding software; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE: One year (minimum) coding experience, experience in hospital setting preferred.
