Job: Medical Front Desk – Experienced

Schedule patient appointments, monitoring daily patient schedule, places reminder calls and identifies “no shows” for rescheduling.

Verify patient demographics and insurance information

Answer multi-line telephone system, taking complete and accurate messages and relay information to the appropriate party to support operational aspects of patient care.

Answer questions regarding hospital and departmental operations, policies and procedures.

Retrieves information from files as requested and assembles paperwork and reference material as requested by patients or providers.

Responsible for HIPAA confidentiality while performing all duties.

Enters referrals and other information into computer system.

Performs all general office functions as necessary.

These positions are TEMPORARY.

Work hours are typically days, Monday through Friday.

MUST HAVE a minimum of 1 YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE working at a MEDICAL FRONT DESK, at at MEDICAL FACILITY or in a DOCTOR'S OFFICE.

MUST HAVE a high school diploma or equivalent.

Background checks, drug screen and TB test also required.

Good typing/data entry skills and computer knowledge is important.

Will need to be flexible to work a variety of locations in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
