Position Summary
The Financial Officer, under limited supervision, provides strategic direction and leadership in the planning, development, management, control, and reporting of the integrated financial operations and activities of a major, multi-faceted operating entity impacting all or most campuses of the University. Coordinates the development, preparation, and submission of all capital, revenue, and expense budgets and all financial reports for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in a related field including at least 15 credit hours of Accounting; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience in/with:

Creating and customizing financial reports for various audiences.

Construction industry accounting to include contracts, change orders, and payments.

Supervising employees.

CPA and MBA specializing in management information systems.

Banner or similar financial system.

Integrating data from different information systems.

Using various database applications to design custom financial reports.

Working knowledge of government capital outlay processes. Proven skills in communicating with various levels of management and state agencies.
