POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for compiling and entering cash receipts against Accounts Receivable and for preparing daily deposits and managing all aspects of cash receipts.
A. JOB DUTIES 1. Receives checks and remittance advices from Accounting Assistant. 2. Prepares daily deposits for all companies. 3. Transports deposits to identified bank as needed. 4. Records deposits on Bank spreadsheet. 5. Records deposits on Cash Receipts Journals. 6. Records cash receipts against accounts receivable in HBOC. 7. Print and verifies daily receipts register against deposit. 8. Documents and reports payment discrepancies to billing. 9. Reconcile HBOC reports to Cash Receipts Journals to Bank Statements to month end reconciliation on a monthly basis. 10. Assists Controller in special projects related to receipts and accounts receivable. 11. Follows general accepted accounting procedures, internal control and CPS accounting controls. 12. Provides timely and accurate information as requested by the Controller, CEO, and Vice President. 13. Cross train in the other areas of the business office and assist as necessary. 14. Maintain complete confidentially of personnel and financial information to which you are privileged. 15. Actively contribute to the general well being of the working environment with a positive and constructive approach to our customers, fellow employees and tasks at hand. 16. Other duties as assigned. Skills / Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in accounts receivable/cash receipts Minimum 1 year experience in data entry Knowledge of the HBOC data system is preferred Other Qualifications: Professional, courteous demeanor and appearance Strong communication skills with all levels of the company Problem solving capability with little supervision Solid decision making skills Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, business, and medical information Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to meet strict deadlines Ability to run 10-key by touch Current drivers license Current automobile insurance Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
