Responsibilities:
Under General Supervision, the Accounting Analyst performs administrative duties to support the Accounts Payable Shared Services function with transactional and process analysis, G/L account reconciliations, transactional corrections, discrepancy resolution and activity/metric reporting. Primary focus will be in the area of monitoring and maintenance of Employee Receivables and corporate credit card program administration.Duties include reconciling ER (expense report) and credit card statement activity against General Ledger transactions and balances; validation that entries are properly recorded to ensure accuracy and data integrity; creates, monitors and issues reports; reconciles reporting discrepancies and works issue resolution with appropriate parties/customers; may initiate accounting adjustments/corrections within the accounting system; may assist the Corporate Travel Credit Card (CTCC) program adminstrator.Candidate must be able to communicate in a professional and courteous manner, both verbally and in writing, with Executives, Managers, employees and customers at all levels of the organization; relaying information accurately and promptly and enabling the resolution of issues in a timely manner. Will work with related departments within the QinetiQ Financial Shared Services (QFSS) group to provide high quality customer service to QNA Operating Groups as needed.

Associate degree in Accounting or similar field (3 years experience may be substituted for a degree) and a minimum of 6 years experience in accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing). Strong customer service skills. Solid experience using Microsoft Excel and various accounting software programs.Preferred:Accounting experience with a government contractor and experience with Deltek Costpoint. Candidates will be subject to a Background Investigation. US citizenship is required.
