Job: Research Associate III

Prepares analysis plans and writes detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures; communicates with clients regarding statistical analysis issues. Interprets analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports. Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw data, data in process, and finished data. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Participates in research.
• DTI data pre-processing and analysis
• Genetic data processing and analysis
• Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data.
• Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of
individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two or more years of progressive experience or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Preferred:
- SAS
- Programming experience.
- Familiar with neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.
- Familiar with neuroimaging techniques and analyses.
- Experience with statistical methods and statistical software desired.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures of basic medical and/or clinical
research.
- Experience in relevant computer software programs.
- Experience in working in a UNIX environment.
- Master’s degree preferred.
