Rio Grande is seeking an associate to join our Accounts Receivable team. This person performs all necessary functions to effectively manage accounts for our customers—our partners in business. Our AR team shares common job responsibilities. Although members may specialize in particular functional areas within the team, all are cross-trained in the various roles and rotate specializations to maintain career interest.

The Fun.
• Performing accounts receivable and accounting functions according to established procedures.
• Engaging in partnership agreements and holding themselves, partners and linked teams accountable.
• Effectively prioritizing daily accounting operations to ensure customers’ needs are addressed promptly and with proper resolution.
• Preparing and verifying accuracy of daily deposits.
• Collaborating to identify and improve processes.
• Managing accounts and partnering with our customers to provide and facilitate financial solutions.
• Answering medium- to high-volume phone inquires.
• Processing credit applications.
• Preparing collections reports and notifying our customers of their account status.
The Requirements.
Established and strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and feedback skills are a must. In addition, the successful candidate will possess a high level of investigative and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent follow-through, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills. Strong leadership skills and a desire to take responsibility and ownership of team and individual goals are imperative. The successful candidate will be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs. Experience in credit and collections or accounts receivable desired. A minimum of an Associates degree in accounting is required.
