Job: Equipment Technician

Manpower Professional is currently recruiting for an Equipment Technician to work in the SMT area with the Manufacturing engineering group on the automated component placement equipment. This will require developing, maintaining, and controlling equipment operation and processes related to component placement. This is a Long Term contract position that is located in Albuquerque, NM.



In this position you will:

• Provide technical direction to peers and operators, train new machine operators, and ensure that machine operators are adequately cross-trained.
• Configure equipment for precision measurements and accuracy.
• Conduct subassembly and component level tests to verify process quality.
• Develop and maintain documented data on equipment function and perform basic statistical calculations.
• Identify tooling requirements to improve processes.
• Debug and isolate equipment/process problems.
• Capable of solving complex technical issues related to components, and assemblies.
• Required to actively engage in annual process improvement goals, and identifying methodology for implementation and tracking of goals.
• Direct involvement in scheduling of daily results, planning overall staffing alignment, and flexing of operators.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent in training or work experience.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Good working knowledge of the operation and function of SMT equipment.
• Excellent capability of performing root cause analysis for processes and equipment.
• Good understanding of product function, knowledgeable of how product interfaces in manufacturing and testing environments.
• Prefer 5 years minimum experience in similar work function.
• Demonstrated ability to document and report work. Communicate well in team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement these skills in a team environment.
• Results-oriented and motivated individual.
• Willing to commit and deliver according to schedule, performance, and cost goals.
