Job: Bilingual Resident Advocate

If so, SAFE House is seeking an individual with strong customer service skills and experience to work as a Resident Advocate.

Resident Advocates are the front line staff at S.A.F.E. House, generally serving as the first point of contact for individuals in crisis and providing general information and referrals to callers from the community at large. Resident Advocates provide direct service and support to residents and referrals to callers. Specific responsibilities include:

--Providing direct service and support to residents of the Domestic Violence Shelter
--Taking crisis calls from individuals in need
--Making timely referrals
--Doing intake for new residents
--Handling paperwork including filing and progress notes

Full Time days
Weds., Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

We are seeking bright, caring individuals with a passion for serving individuals in crisis.

Must have strong customer service & interpersonal skills, be 21 years of age or older, have a valid NM driver's license and clean driving and criminal record. Must be available weekends.

Must be fluent in both written and spoken Spanish & English.

Requires at least 1 year experience in customer service or human services setting.
