POSITION SUMMARY:
Control and monitor the administration of all human resource activities and policies. Manages compensation, benefits, staffing, affirmative action, employee relations, health and safety, and training/development function. Supervises professional human resources staff. JOB DUTIES Maintains knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation, and state and federal regulations to ensure company compliance. Develops, revises, and communicates Policies and Procedures related to Human Resource and legal and regulatory compliance functions. Establishes and administers wage and benefit program to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and be competitive in markets. Establishes and directs the recruitment, retention and separation processes for employees. Establishes and achieves company goals for recruitment and retention. Oversees all benefits programs including health, dental, 401k, disability and other related programs. Consults legal consult as appropriate and as directed by the President. Develops and monitors company orientation and training programs to ensure a well-trained staff. Establishes programs to provide individual professional development and succession planning to ensure a well-developed leadership team. Acts as a resource for the management team and employees regarding employment issues. Participates in the interview and selection process for Director and above positions as well as other positions upon request. Participates as part of the senior management team in developing and communicating the strategic direction for the company. Directs the company wide HR functions to maintain sound fiscal principles. Skills / Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, business or equivalent. Masters Degree preferred. Experience: At least five years experience in directing or managing the Human Resource function, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge base with regard to Workers Compensation, labor laws, OSHA, ADA, interview/hire/orientation and termination processes, essential job functions, FMLA, personnel record maintenance, initiation and compliance with agency policy and procedure, recruitment and retention, wage and salary program, and staff development. Licensure/Certification: PHR/SPHR certification Other Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to relate well with staff. Proven ability to take initiative, make sound business decisions and communicate effectively. Ability to travel in service area Current Drivers license and auto insurance Detail oriented and organized Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English with a high degree of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, flexible and accurate. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills. Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; bilingual Spanish a plus. Important Notes
