Job: Manager, Chemical Hygiene (0803503)

Position Summary: Chemical Hygiene Manager develops, plans, coordinates, and manages institutional chemical safety programs, including the management and implementation of the chemical inventory program, chemical waste disposal, chemical recycling program and related programs necessary to ensure the safety of the University environment for employees, students and visitors. This person ensures compliance with all applicable University policies and local, state, and federal regulations relating to chemical safety.

This is a full-time benefits eligible position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field; at least 7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate degree in either in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental health or a closely related field.

Professional certification by examination e.g. CIH, PE, CSP.

Knowledge:

Chemical safety relating to local and state regulations.

Developing chemical injury prevention.
