Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will be involved in a networking project that is scheduled to last for 6 months and has the potential of being extended through the end of 2010. The Network Engineer will provide troubleshooting & resolution of technical problems with the set up and configuration of internal and/or external Cisco networks. Will install and configure network switches, firewalls, routers, VPN concentrators, and application content networking devices. Will configure and support LANs, WANs, and extranets.
Troubleshoots network performance issues

Requirements:
DOE Q Clearance: Active or recently active in the last 6 months.
Demonstrated experience in Cisco Router, Cisco Switches, Cisco Works and Security Products.
1-3 years experience in a network administrator role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
Experience with MS Windows Server 2003, Cisco enterprise switches and routers, Ethernet, LAN/WAN and TCP/IP
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs

Desired:
Experience in Check Point Firewall, Trip Wire, Q1 Radar, Solar Winds, Cisco works, and Info Block Servers is highly desired.
MCSE or CCNA or CCIE certifications.
Documentation skills (ability to create detailed network diagrams, preferably using Microsoft Visio).
Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills.
