Job: Ultrasound Tech - (PRN opportunity)

We are currently looking for a: ULTRASOUND TECH

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures.
2. Prepares a clear, accurate preliminary report in both verbal and written format for radiologist and/or other medical providers.
3. Documents medical history related to the exam being performed and completes daily computer work.
4. Maintains credentials and/or licensure.
5. Participates and attends departmental meetings.
6. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
2. Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to service.
3. Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.

Education: Required - Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and ARDMS Eligible. Preferred- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree.

Experience: Preferred - One (1) year experience in the healthcare/hospital environment..

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Basic computer skills; Ability to communicate effectively; Ability to work independently or manage workload.

Licensure: Required - ARRT (Ultrasound) or ARDMS; CPR
