Position Summary: The University of New Mexico, Intercollegiate Athletics is looking for an Assistant Coach for its Men's Golf program. This person will assist in coaching duties for the men's golf and will be familiar with and follow all guidelines governed by NCAA operating bylaws. This individual will assist the Head Coach with all aspects of recruitment and training of athletes.
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs This is a full-time benefits eligible position. Skills / Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to identify talent and potential in golfers Experience in: Playing Division I college golf at a high level (All-American & Academic All-American honors, quality performance results, competing at NCAA Championships, etc.). Playing golf professionally at a high level (PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, etc). Teaching fundamentals of the game of golf. Important Notes
