Dr.Kent Kiehl Research
Socio Moral Psychopathy - Research Analyst positions are currently available in Dr. Kent Kiehl’s laboratory at The Mind Research Network and the Department of Psychology at the University of New Mexico (open until filled). Bachelor’s degree required (MA and/or Ph.D. also accepted); pay will be commensurate with experience. Coordinates and monitors the design, development, modification and implementation of information technology applications; provides technical support; provides and designs tools to assist in the management of the database and client/server environment; provides training to technical support and applications staff in the effective utilization of database(s); provides data warehousing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures • Processes and analyzes fMRI data • Participates in the design and execution of research studies • Conducts and executes evaluation on current procedures • Provides judgment on the validity of experimental data obtained • Assists research team with all aspects of fMRI data collection and analysis • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with research staff and constituencies within the community • May have subject interaction Skills / Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, Computer Science or a related field with 0 – 4 years of experience in the field - Knowledge of programming languages, e.g., C, C++, and MatLab - Familiar with neuroimaging techniques and analysis - Working knowledge of UNIX platforms - Familiar with neuroanatomy and neurophysiology Preferred: - Programming experience, e.g., C, C++, or MatLab - Knowledge of fMRI analysis software, e.g., AFNI, SPM, or FSL.
