Job: Authorization Coordinator/Biller

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the processing and tracking of authorizations to provide continuous quality care to our patients. This includes obtaining written authorizations for visits ordered by clinical staff, accurately recording and entering the authorization information into HBOC, monitoring expiring authorizations, re-verification of eligibility. Interacting with Information Coordinators to resolve payroll issues involving authorizations. Responsible for compiling, billing and processing insurance claims. Works denials, makes corrections and resubmits claims as needed.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year experience in medical office setting with authorization processing and 2 or more years Medical Billing Required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Organized, flexible and attentive to detail. Must be able to communicate articulately on the telephone and in person in a professional and positive manner.

ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
