* Responds to inquiries and requests daily regarding financial statistics, billing, charging and chargemaster database information and issues/problems, automated system interface issues/problems and ad-hoc analysis for all PHS management.

* Researches billing and charging compliance issues, recommends and implements corrective action plans that assure compliance with regulatory agencies where appropriate.

* Ensures that complete documentation is maintained either in electronic or hard copy form.

* Maintains and disseminates up-to-date technical knowledge of legal and regulatory information from all appropriate jurisdictions concerning the given business area. This includes but is not limited to all ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS and APC updates and changes.

* Performs all revenue management activities for the company as outlined in the Revenue & Compliance Management Department organizational chart.

* Works with users and peers in planning, developing, implementing and supporting new or existing IT applications. Analyzes and re-engineers business processes.

* Assists in training users on new or enhanced IT applications.

* Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.

* Responds to client problems and inquiries via the telephone and e-mail.

* Ensures revenue cycle compliance and accuracy of new and integrated IT systems and maintains ancillary charge system databases where assigned, and Medipac, EPIC and Horizon Home Health.

* Liaison for Information Services, Finance/Patient Financial Services, all hospitals, all PMG sites, Home Health, Albuquerque Ambulance and all ancillary departments in addressing functional, billing, charging, training issues and problems.

* Performs other functions as required.

Two to three years college level courses and/or Associate's Degree OR three years related experience in lieu of education AND one additional year experience in healthcare related enterprise or other Finance or Patient Financial Services related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Critical thinking and extreme attention to detail. System operations knowledge of at least one patient accounting system (Medipac, EPIC or Horizon Home Health) and other revenue cycle systems. Medical terminology, ICD-9, CPT-4 and HCPCS knowledge preferred.
