Shift: Varied

* Performs history and physical assessments of acute patients who present to the Emergency Department.
* Develops treatment plans for acute patients seen in the Emergency Department.

* Performs minor surgical procedures.

* Interprets lab and x-ray results.

* Serves as a patient educator.

* Serves 'on-call' responsibilities'.

* Performs other functions as required.

Master's degree in nursing as a nurse practitioner orgraduation from a program for physician assistants approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association, and possess a baccalaureate degree or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant. Five years experience in primary care preferred.
