Since its inauguration in 1964, under the Economic Opportunity Act, Job Corps has provided more than 2 million disadvantaged young people with the integrated academic, vocational, and social skills training they need to gain independence and get quality, long-term jobs or further their education.

Our Albuquerque Job Corps Center has the friendly, easy-going atmosphere of a small community college.

We are currently seeking an Admissions Counselor based in Farmington to Recruit and screen youth for entry into Job Corps and provide placement assistance to youth returning from Job Corps.

Specific duties may include:
· Maintains ongoing outreach, placement site and job development with employer agencies, schools, and military recruiters, and provides Job Corps information to and maintains and updates resource files for recruitment and outreach, placement and referral purposes
· Makes weekly contact with youth-serving agencies for referrals; makes presentation to community groups; assists in developing an effective publicity program
· Screens youth for Job Corps entry using all criteria necessary to evaluate eligibility; completes and submits applications in a timely manner
· Notifies applicants of acceptance and assignment, prepares and departs youth to Job Corps Centers

Bachelor's Degree or 4 years experience working with youth. 1 year experience in sales, marketing of counseling related services.
