Job: Accounting Clerk

• Accounts receivable tasks including but not limited to:

-Review and verify accuracy of daily paperwork for all couriers.
-Complete Manifest with pricing information.
-Match overnight air bills and complete with pricing information.
-Data entry from source documents to complete invoices
-Customer/client relationships to address all requests for information
-Generate periodic billing of all assigned accounts
-Analysis and auditing of accounting and other departmental work to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing
-Collection of assigned accounts
-Organization and filing of workpapers
-Tasks as required to comply with various regulatory requirements

• Accounts payable tasks including but not limited to:
-Receiving and sorting incoming invoices
-Matching incoming invoices to relevant purchase orders and packing slips
-Coding invoices
-Securing necessary management approvals for A/P items
-Data entry of payable invoices
-Mailing checks
-Canceling paid documents
-Filing paid documents
-Research as needed to address A/P inquiries

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have experience with computers, preferably with Microsoft Windows and Excel.
