The Public Affairs Coordinator has responsibility for assisting with administrative and coordination support related primarily to regional employee engagement, community volunteer programs and regional site initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Supports coordination and implementation of employee volunteer events and regional site events Assists with regional employee communications activities including support of the corporate newsletter, regular corporate intranet messages, and keeping regional website current Supports coordination and implementation of programs and initiatives including Fidelity sponsorships, corporate memberships, and other initiatives. Supports site and external affairs meeting management Under the direction of the Public Affairs Director, coordinates regional site meetings and communication support As directed, coordinates meetings and events such as internal executive visits, external events As needed and as directed, may attend and represent Fidelity at external events Skills / Requirements
Education and Experience
Three - five years experience with program coordination or undergraduate degree in communications, government relations, public relations, business marketing or equivalent discipline or equivalent preferred Skills and Knowledge Proven ability to understand new concepts and develop new skills Demonstrated willingness to learn and be a contributing member of a small team Proven ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees, from senior management to line-level representatives Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet business goals Professional demeanor, strong interactive skills and a demonstrated collaborative approach Strong written and verbal communication skills required Strong computer experience required - MS Office, Photo editing software. Experience with website content management systems a plus Previous support experience in volunteer coordination or event coordination is a plus Important Notes
