Jobing Description
Responsible for coordinating and assisting in activities of the NM Marketing department including development of advertising materials, grassroots efforts, promotional programs and public relations initiatives that support the grocery business by performing the following duties. Also responsible for consumer relations and community relations and events at Sales meetings, food shows, and company sponsored events.

-Assist Marketing Manager on development and coordination of marketing initiatives in conjunction with the annual plan. This position will be responsible for the coordination and execution of marketing initiatives to include:
-Coordination of promotional programs to include development of advertising materials including print, promotions, food shows, sales meetings, and event signage
-Development and execution of Sales Specific promotions with the sales department
-Development and execution of Customer Specific promotions with key accounts
-Work with the purchasing, marketing, and sales department to maximize sales promotions as outlined in annual plan
-Evaluate and measure results and effectiveness of promotional activities
-Coordination of Emerald Vendor sampling efforts as needed to include product training materials

-Coordinate public relations and advertising programs and events tied directly to the sales department.
-Assist in execution of all sales promotional events
-Coordinate web site and sales rep notifications in conjunction with new product announcements
-Serve as spokesperson for sales promotional events as needed

-Responsible for all customer calls in relationship to promotion. This includes taking customer calls and emails, coordinating consumer complaint communication with all appropriate parties, follow up communication with customers and reporting to management team on customer comment

-Assist the Marketing Manager on the on-going maintenance and development of our Web site.
-Work with marketing and brokers on execution of promotional contests
-Work with marketing and the Product Segment Managers to maintain content including product information

-Work with Brokers and Corporate Category Managers on development of grassroots initiatives throughout all markets we serve.
-Responsible for working with team to develop potential grassroots ideas
-Responsible for execution of the initiatives including development of support material and event execution of sampling initiatives, etc.
-Coordinate activities to support new product launches

-Development and implementation of internal employee relations programs to promote Shamrock Foods throughout the organization including internal publications and other vehicles.

-Serve as administrative support for the NM Foods Sales department to include: light data entry, periodical and competitive tracking, inventory management of sales marketing materials.

-Other duties may be assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Qualifications:

-Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret data and draw appropriate conclusions are required. In addition ability to proactively develop analyses around on-going business needs.
-Excellent organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) and a thorough understanding of database management are essential.
-Ability to work independently, think strategically and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Strong problem solving skills.
-Ability to work in team and multi-faceted environment.
-Bachelor’s degree required and MBA preferred and/or equivalent work experience and/or Marketing.
-Travel may be required.

Important Notes
Normal Hours of Work:
8am-5pm, M-F, must be flexible
