Jobing Description
M. D. ANDERSON PHYSICIANS NETWORK®
is recruiting for a Remote Clinical Care Center Support Services Analystt for the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Treatment Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, a remote location of Presbyterian Hospital. This position is based in Albuquerque, NM.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Implement and support for RadOnc Management approved software/hardware upgrades and maintenance.

1.Analyzes standard hardware and software configurations.
2.Deploys and maintains standard computers with software authorized for use at the Clinical Care Centers.
3.Performs authorized customizations to computers.
4.Ensures complete operational integrity of computer systems as deployed.
5.Creates, reviews, and improves documented procedures and checklists.
6.Acts as primary on-site IS contact for specific Clinical Care Centers.

Complete support requests and problem resolution in the division utilizing the current MDACC standard for incident tracking to document actions.

1.Documents and resolves routine end-user requests from customers working at local Clinical Care Center, then at other Clinical Care Centers and Main Campus.
2.Identifies and resolves non-routine, complex end-user problems related to software/hardware.
3.Provides end-user assistance for commonly used functions on standard software applications.
4.Tracks and documents support requests utilizing the current M.D. Anderson support request tracking solution.

Assist with analysis, definition, and implementation for authorized components of the local area network infrastructure working closely with RadOnc Management and other IS staff, both from M.D Anderson and the Hospital associated with the specific Clinical Care Center.

1.Installs and implements tools authorized by MDACC Management to achieve maximum efficiency for the local area network components.
2.Assists with software and hardware upgrades on production server(s) as assigned and while working closely with Main Campus Systems Analyst(s) following MDACC Policies and Procedures.
3.Participates with Systems Administration functions on Division’s directory services objects, works with and understands implemented tools.
4.Installs, configures, and makes functional approved network based tools, such as tape backup and other utilities to optimize performance.
5.Analyzes and recommends necessary software upgrades or new products throughout the Division of Radiation Oncology.

Participate and support special projects in the division working closely with co-workers to enhance effectiveness of information technology in the Division of Radiation Oncology.

1.Utilizes installed technology to introduce additional functionality to bring efficiency in the work place for end-users, co-workers.
2.Assists team in analyzing and integrating technical needs of the IS group to provide efficiencies in the division with projects in clinical, administrative and research areas.
3.Assists in implementation of Clinical Systems, updates, and approved modifications.

Maintain and expand working knowledge of IS systems. Perform inventory management for IS components.

1.Provides analysis and recommends necessary equipment upgrades based on maintenance trends.
2.Expedites preventative maintenance and repairs of networked and peripheral equipment through internal and external sources, makes recommendations on equipment upgrades/replacements based on trends.
3.Attends additional training or collaboration events as assigned by RadOnc Management.


Skills / Requirements
Candidates must have at least two years experience with both telephone and on-site based delivery of mainframe, microcomputer, and LAN support services, including installation and problem analysis/resolution. Experience with publishing applications via Citrix products is a must.

Two years of proven understanding and proficiency with following and generating documented procedures for local and remote Systems Administration, including desktop support and security account administration

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems is preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to attend training in Houston. The position will require occasional travel.
