Jobing Description
Duties May Include (but are not limited to): Schedules, coordinates and reschedules appointments for new and established patients. Relays necessary messages/changes to appropriate staff. Updates patient demographics. Completes new patient registration process. Reschedules bumped and cancelled appointments as necessary. Adheres to company policies as described in employment handbook and company work rules.
Participates in professional development activities and opportunities. Attends staff meeting and others as required. Maintains confidentiality of patient account information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and NMOA policy. Hours Business office hours are 8a-5p. Alternate hours will be determined by supervisor. Hard Criteria: Minimum of two years successful medical scheduling experience in medical office setting. Minimum high school graduate. Phone skills, computer skills and communication skills essential. Eng/Spanish bilingual a plus. Knowledge of current basic medical terminology, coding and office procedures Strong computer and phone skills, including multi-line phones. Excellent grammar and spelling skills. Soft Criteria: Excellent interpersonal skills; must have initiative and work well in team and independent environment. Must be detail-oriented. Professional demeanor & appearance required. Exhibits patience in high stress situations. Important Notes
