Job: Controller

Mfg co is seeking a Controller. This position reports directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will have a min 5 years accounting experience as a controller in a mfg environment. Experience with automated accounting systems a must to include prior supervision of the MIS department. This position is responsible for a multi-state operation.
Other routine duties:

Collect, interpret and report financial data by identifying trends; analyzing capital needs; and negotiating credit with banks, brokers, and insurance companies.

Prepare budgets by collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data; recommending adjustments as needed.

Conduct internal audits to monitor and confirm financial condition providing this information to external auditors as required.

Establish credit policies to protect assets by developing credit procedures.

Responsible for all regulatory compliance: file statements and reports, returns, remitting taxes, etc...

Develop accounting staff by orientation, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary programs; communicating company values, strategies, and objectives by assigning
accountabilities; monitoring, and appraising job performance.

Contribute to the organization's effectiveness by offering information and opinions as a member of senior management; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing related results as required
