The Security Firewall Engineer will have a combination of Firewall management and Intrusion Detection management along with penetration testing knowledge.

Responsibilities for the Security Firewall Engineer include:
* Provide backup/documentation for the IT Security Specialist and the client's firewall and IDS management.
* Evaluating and documenting current rule sets, identifying potential telecommunications weaknesses and assisting in the development and deployment of additional firewall equipment.
* Provide analysis for the URL exception process.
* Assist client's CIRT in evaluating and investigating security incidents. Help would primarily take the form of assistance with IP traffic routing and end user machine identification.

Qualifications for the Security Firewall Engineer include:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science
* 3-5 years of experience.
* Experience with Firewall, Disaster Recovery, and has worked extensively with IDM (intrusion detection management systems) with CIRT (Computer Incident Response Team).
* In addition to firewall experience, the ideal candidate needs to have scanning experience as well (for example: Interscan, ISS RealSecure Scanners, Internet / Database Scanner).
