PHILOSOPHY

We subscribe to the policies and philosophy of the State of New Mexico funding agencies and Rio Grande Behavioral Health Services, Inc. We exist to promote an atmosphere of community cooperation by managing and coordinating behavioral healthcare services and educational programs, which contribute to the physical, psychological and emotional well being of the people and community served.

We recognize our responsibility to provide access to integrated care for all clients and to coordinate with the entities that provide medical services, licensing and certification agencies, juvenile and adult justice systems and other regulating bodies. We acknowledge the ethnic diversity of our community and promote cultural sensitivity in our staff and programs, as well as equal access for patients with a language barrier. We are committed to the basic human rights, dignity, health and safety of all persons served.

We affirm that the policies, procedures and educational programs are in accord with the standards of medical ethics and best practices.

We accept an obligation to promote client, provider and community education and actively participate in the planning and provision of educational offerings.
