First Nations Community Healthsource (FNCH) is located in SE Albuquerque, committed to providing a culturally competent, comprehensive health service delivery system integrating traditional vaules to enhance the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being of American Indians and other underserved populations residing in Albuquerque and surrounding tribes. FNCH is a voluntary, non-profit, independent health and human services organization incorporated in the State of New Mexico as a 501 (c)(3) organization. FNCH was established in 1972 as the Albuquerque Indian Health Center, which worked to improve the behavioral and health status of American Indians. The Board of Directors changed the organization's name to First Nations Community Healthsource in September 1995 to reflect the agency's commitment to serve all underserved populations in Albuquerque. FNCH has years of experience in developing integrated and coordinated behavioral health, prevention, primary care and support services for American Indians and other underserved populations. Services include prevention and wellness, traditional healing, behavorial health, primary care, dental, HIV/AIDS case management and prevention, substance abuse prevention, Medicaid Enrollment, and Women's, Infant and Children's (WIC) Nutritional Services. In addition, FNCH provides traditional indigenous services (acupuncture, massage therapy, traditional healing, and herbal consultations) to American Indians.
