AAMA or other certifying board Certified Medical Assistant needed for high volume, fast-paced, outpatient orthopedic group. Full-time position. Orthopedic clinical background preferred.
Duties May Include (but are not limited to): Administrative duties, electronic scheduling, working one-on-one with physician, including administratively and procedurally; obtain x-rays, charts, lab reports etc.; organizing patient flow, preparing patient for exam; calling for pre-authorizations, ordering tests, returning patient calls; covering for other MA staff, clean exam rooms and assist with supply maintenance. Skills / Requirements
Hard Criteria: Minimum two years experience as an active MA in a medical practice preferred. Must be an AAMA Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. Must have excellent computer and communication skills. Also: insurance knowledge, electronic scheduling and customer service skills. Intermediate, conversational Spanish skills preferred. Must sign confidentiality agreement. Must provide copy of certification.
Soft Criteria: Must work well in team environment. Attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, patience and timeliness a must. Professional demeanor & appearance required. Important Notes
